The Serious Violence Duty comes into effect on
31 Jan 2023. Greater Manchester has been awarded £47,417 by
the Home Office in burden funding, to be specifically spent on
resource in Feb / March 2023, to enable delivery of the Duty. The
Home Office, SVD Task & Finish group and Asst Dep Mayor have
agreed to the proposal of analytical resource from GMP.
The programme director agrees a transfer of
funds (£47,417) to Greater Manchester Police to facilitate
additional analytical resource support to enable delivery of the
Serious Violence Duty across Greater Manchester.
