The 2 X Complex Safeguarding posts were
previously resourced through secondment agreements with individual
LAs but it has been agreed that the GMCA will now host these posts
with funding provided through £26k contribution from each
Local Authority. The staff will require laptops and phones in order
to operate from the GMCA. This proposal is to use a proportion of
the LA contribution for this purpose.
Essential equipment costs to be allocated in
order to establish and base complex safeguarding officers at the
Greater Manchester Combined Authority. This funding is sourced via
the 10 GM district local authorities via Directors of
Children’s Services.
