The Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 sets out the detail which must be included in a police and crime plan which has to be issued in the financial year following the election of the Mayor.

Considering and taking into account the views of GM residents, victims of crime and responsible authorities is an integral part of developing the plan – which the holding of engagement events will support.

The final Plan will need to be designed and published on the GMCA website and therefore needs to be professionally designed and finished. The document needs to appeal to a variety of audiences, be accessible and will run until 2029 so quality of design is important.

£15,000 be allocated to the development of the Police and Crime Plan – this will be used for the holding of 4 external engagement events and for procuring the designing of the Plan once a draft has been finalised.
