PCC DN - VRU Contribution to GMCA Education Summit 2023

GMCA want Greater Manchester to be a place where everyone can live a good life in a greener, fairer more prosperous city region. The Education Summit 2023 will be an opportunity for education leaders and other stakeholders to come together and explore how we can collaborate to add value to Greater Manchester's education system, ensuring that children and young people everywhere can make the most of what we have to offer.

This summit will focus on exploring issues linked to leadership, recruitment and retention, inclusion and equitable outcomes. It will be an opportunity for education sector leaders to:

• learn more about the work that GMCA is already doing with schools and colleges.
• share their ideas about how working across Greater Manchester could help GM to unlock its potential to support children and young people.
• pose questions to a panel, including the Mayor; and
• contribute their expertise and experience to shaping ongoing collaboration.

This event directly correlates to the VRU Education Delivery Group’s Terms of Reference; it contributes to collaboration within the Education sector to address and reduce risk factors contributing to serious violence.
