A strategic priority of the Home Office is to end all forms of violence against women and girls (VAWG) as set out in both the Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy and the Tackling Domestic Abuse Plan and to support vulnerable victims of interpersonal violence, including children affected by domestic abuse.
A strategic aim of the Deputy Mayor within the Greater Manchester Gender Based Violence Strategy is to respond effectively to Perpetrators. This is critical to reducing the risk posed by the perpetrator to reduce Domestic Abuse and protect victims.
The grant has been awarded due to the framework being successful in a bidding process, and the Home Office are satisfied that this is a well-defined framework describing the outcomes and impacts that the funding is intended to achieve
