To extract themes and trends currently from
iCasework, the team needs to do a manual search through the
systems, individually assign a theme to each piece of
correspondence and then filter a spreadsheet.
The introduction of themes and trend searching will allow GMCA to
see how many pieces of correspondence have been received on
specific themes such as: stop and search, hate crime, business
crime, domestic abuse etc. GMCA will have the opportunity to add
more themes to the list when necessary. With the new searching
capabilities GMCA could run reports which extract the information
instantaneously and allow the team to analyse the results.
