GM 2-5 parent-toddler mental health hub – Stockport MBC Funding

- A statutory body is required to act as the Provider for this service, with prior understanding of the GM pregnancy to 2 mental health pathways. Comprehensive engagement has taken place with NHS mental health providers and Local Authorities in GM to secure support for Stockport MBC as the proposed provider.
- Funding is available through non-recurrent monies from the GMCA School Readiness programme. Use of funding for this purpose has been endorsed by the School Readiness Programme Board and the ICB CYP Mental Health Programme Board.
- The decision to fund responds to an unmet need in service provision and recognises the critical importance of positive parent-child relationships to early child development and addressing health inequalities in the early years in GM.
- The project has been included as deliverable within the Integrated Care Partnership Joint Forward Plan under Theme 1: Early Years within the Best Start for Life priority.
